A Few words About Cheryl
Who am I?
Hi, I'm Cheryl. I love to paint and I love to teach. In fact. I have been doing both since the very early 1990's. And I love to have fun! I believe that learning should be fun.
I love to see my students and fellow painters develop and grow. And I am blessed to have had the opportunity to be with many of them for many years to see that happen. I would love to see that happen for you as well.
I have found great joy and peace in painting. It has a great way of quieting my mind and recharging me. It is so easy to become lost in the art of creation and let time and worries drift away. There is real peace in the process.
Of course, there is much to learn, and that is where the joy of personal accomplishment comes into play. Mastering new skills and creating more and more challenging pieces is a pure thrill.
I know from experience that there is far more to painting than simply mastering techniques.
There is also the "inner game" at play. This is where the "inner critic" and limiting beliefs make themselves known. These can rob you of your confidence and steal your sense of adventure. They can limit your growth and steal your joy.
As a certified professional coach, I have seen it many times. If this becomes a problem for you, we can spot it. And if you want to deal with it, I can help.
