I have painted before, but I do struggle with getting trees right. Will this course be helpful, or will it be too simple?
I created this course for painters at all levels. Even if you have painted before, this course will help. Because you are experienced you will be able to skip the basic instructions that I have included for new painters. But when it comes to the exact techniques I use to create these trees, I have no doubt you will improve your tree painting results in no time. It’s not too simple. There’s something for everyone.
How long will it take to complete this course?
How long it takes depends entirely upon you. The course is presented in 7 videos. That’s 1 for each style of tree. The videos range from 12 to 34 minutes each. There is also a video on how to prepare your surface for painting. That one is 12 minutes long. You learn at your own pace so take as much time as you need.
Can I use Oil paints in this course?
Sorry… no, you cannot use oil paints. This course is designed to teach you how to paint using acrylic paints. Acrylic paints are wonderful to work with and are readily available.
Do I need special brushes for this course?
Yes, this course requires that you have a at least a Round Brush, a Flat Brush, an Angle Bristle Brush and a Liner Brush. I provide a detailed list of the brushes and supplies you will need in the course, so you will know exactly what to buy if you need to buy anything.
Where can I get the supplies I need for this course?
You can get your supplies at local craft shops or online at speciality shops or at Amazon. All of these supplies are available almost everywhere.
Do I need to buy special surfaces to complete this course?
You do not need special surfaces to complete this course. I show you in detail how to prepare a simple sketch book to paint all of your trees in. This is inexpensive and leaves you with a record of your results and growth as you get better and better at painting trees.
What will happen if I try but I really can’t learn how to paint trees?
